Hey. I'm Andrew Wade.

About Me

I design and develop backend web services. I've also helped businesses with systems administration, cloud architecture, digital transformation, automation and business intelligence.

I'm an advocate of breaking down silos and adopting DevOps practices. I don't believe in having a DevOps "team" — everyone should embrace a DevOps mindset.

I believe in full ownership of code — you build it, you run it.

Having begun my career in cloud system administration, I also take a keen interest in monitoring, metrics, performance, backups and security.

I'm extremely enthusiastic about open-source and most of my career has been spent using it heavily. I've used Linux for over 20 years and hope to use it for another 50!

Currently I live in sunny Yorkshire 🇬🇧 and I've also lived in 🇮🇪 Ireland and 🇪🇸 Spain.
